Hi, I'm Greg Kuang, born in Malaysia and grew up in the UK and trained as Qualified Chartered Accountant. In 2015, moved to Hong Kong to take up new assignment and stay till now.

Why The Stories? Gregramics?

I like to use pottery to tell my stories. I create with my passion subconsciously to let my emotion flows and hence each of my art pieces have the power to carry their own personality and identities. 

While Gregramics as the brand for for ceramics products is just obvious. As the name said, Greg's ceramics - Gregramics, what a great way to represent my art!

How could an accountant become a pottery artist?

I was lucky to have the chance to get a taste of pottery art since young. My dad, who's mechanical engineer, he designed and manufactured pottery wheels as one of his factory products in Malaysia, and I had the chance to play around. However, my pottery encounter was forced to be put on hold when I left Malaysia for study in the UK. We were 're-connected' when I moved to Hong Kong.

What inspired me creative wise?

Pottery art always came across so natural to me, it seems like a skill that I have known long long time ago. It allows me to create with my subconscious, and my main inspiration is nature. All of my arts need to have soul, they have their own personalities. When comes to concept and glazes, harmonious is my key.
